El comunicado de prensa oficial puede verse a continuaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n<p><b>LA COMISI\u00d3N EUROPEA FINANCIA UN PROYECTO DE 10 MILLONES DE EUROS PARA CREAR UN NUEVO PROCESO DE RECUPERACI\u00d3N DE MATERIAS PRIMAS CR\u00cdTICAS DE LAS BATER\u00cdAS DE VEH\u00cdCULOS EL\u00c9CTRICOS<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Financiado a trav\u00e9s del Programa Horizonte Europa y debido a la importancia estrat\u00e9gica de que la Uni\u00f3n Europea reduzca su dependencia de las importaciones de materias primas cr\u00edticas, el proyecto BATRAW contribuir\u00e1 a garantizar una cadena de suministro estable que respalde el crecimiento previsto del mercado de la movilidad el\u00e9ctrica.<\/p>\n<p>Se desarrollar\u00e1n dos pruebas piloto para recuperar el cobalto, el n\u00edquel, el manganeso, el litio, el grafito, el aluminio y el cobre contenidos en estas bater\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p><b>Bruselas, 30 de junio de 2022 - El<\/b> <b>La Comisi\u00f3n Europea financia con m\u00e1s de 10 millones de euros<\/b> un proyecto de desarrollo de nuevos procesos tecnol\u00f3gicos para la recuperaci\u00f3n de las materias primas cr\u00edticas contenidas en las bater\u00edas de los veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos, a trav\u00e9s de la <b>Programa Horizonte Europa<\/b>. Un consorcio de 18 socios de siete pa\u00edses desarrollar\u00e1 este proyecto, conocido como BATRAW, de importancia estrat\u00e9gica para que la UE reduzca su dependencia de las importaciones de estas materias primas cr\u00edticas, as\u00ed como para poder garantizar una cadena de suministro estable ante el crecimiento previsto del <b>mercado de la movilidad el\u00e9ctrica<\/b> en Europa en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>En <b>4 a\u00f1os<\/b> El proyecto se ajusta a los objetivos de la propuesta de Reglamento de la UE sobre <b>pilas y bater\u00edas usadas<\/b>. Este reglamento, ahora en debate, exigir\u00eda que todas las bater\u00edas comercializadas en la UE, incluidas las de los veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos e h\u00edbridos, se gestionen de forma sostenible al final de su vida \u00fatil y sirvan de fuente de materias primas secundarias para sectores como la automoci\u00f3n y las energ\u00edas renovables y tecnolog\u00edas bajas en carbono.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto BATRAW incluye <b>dos pruebas piloto<\/b> con <b>bater\u00edas de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos<\/b>pero pueden ampliarse, en funci\u00f3n de los resultados, a otros tipos de bater\u00edas, incluidas las dom\u00e9sticas, para recuperar todos los metales y materiales que contienen, es decir, cobalto, n\u00edquel, manganeso, litio, grafito, aluminio y cobre. La informaci\u00f3n clave recopilada durante el proyecto se pondr\u00e1 a disposici\u00f3n de todas las partes interesadas a trav\u00e9s de un pasaporte digital de bater\u00edas, almacenado en la cadena de bloques Minespider.<\/p>\n<p>El primer piloto tendr\u00e1 lugar en Pamplona (Espa\u00f1a) y ser\u00e1 organizado por BeePlanet. En \u00e9l se aplicar\u00e1n <b>procesos semiautomatizados<\/b> a la manipulaci\u00f3n de estas bater\u00edas para <b>separar hasta 95% de sus componentes<\/b>incluyendo c\u00e9lulas y m\u00f3dulos aptos para la reutilizaci\u00f3n. El segundo piloto se implantar\u00e1 en Bessines sur Gartempe (Francia), en las instalaciones de Orano. En \u00e9l se aplicar\u00e1 un pretratamiento mec\u00e1nico y una tecnolog\u00eda hidrometal\u00fargica para mejorar la separaci\u00f3n de los materiales contenidos en la denominada masa negra (sustancia compuesta de metales no ferrosos resultante de la trituraci\u00f3n de las bater\u00edas), para separar entre 90%-98% del grafito, el aluminio y el cobre.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto, que arranc\u00f3 el 1 de mayo con la primera reuni\u00f3n del consorcio, incluye una primera fase centrada en el desarrollo de directrices de ecodise\u00f1o que favorezcan la reparaci\u00f3n y el desmontaje de bater\u00edas, as\u00ed como las mejores pr\u00e1cticas para la manipulaci\u00f3n y el transporte seguros de estos residuos. El proyecto tambi\u00e9n crear\u00e1 un prototipo de bater\u00eda a partir de las materias primas recuperadas y un pasaporte digital de bater\u00edas para capturar y comunicar informaci\u00f3n clave a lo largo del ciclo de vida de la bater\u00eda, incluyendo el abastecimiento, procesamiento, (re)uso y reciclaje de componentes. En una fase final, los socios analizar\u00e1n la viabilidad de un plan de negocio para la explotaci\u00f3n en toda la UE de estos nuevos procesos de desmontaje y reciclaje de bater\u00edas. Tambi\u00e9n se elaborar\u00e1n recomendaciones pol\u00edticas basadas en los resultados del proyecto para alimentar los desarrollos normativos en curso.<\/p>\n<p>Unas palabras del equipo de coordinaci\u00f3n de BATRAW: \"Estamos encantados de ayudar a dirigir un proyecto tan importante que contribuye a abordar este reto social.
